Winter is coming and the border is still closed to Canadian property owners. While many never opened their cabins at all this year, those who did are looking at how to get them ready for cold weather.
“Quite a few people have called to have us shut their water down at the meter,” water district manager Dan Bourks told commissioners at their October 13 virtual meeting. “I’ve also seen a lot of people hiring someone to do work on their property, more than I would have thought.”
