Motor oil? Yes. Latex paint? No.
The household hazardous waste event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 23 at the Johnson Road transfer station so here’s a partial list of what they will and won’t accept.
Acceptable Items (up to 55 gallons per household):
Oil-based paints, gasoline, motor oil, antifreeze, garden chemicals, pest control products, cleaning products, aerosols, acids and bases, fluorescent bulbs and tubes, rechargeable batteries, mercury thermometers.
Not Acceptable:
Business waste, latex paint, biomedical waste, alkaline batteries, explosives and ammunition, radioactive materials (including smoke alarms), empty containers, asbestos, waste in drums.
