The Point Roberts Community Advisory Committee (PRCAC) is looking for candidates to fill two vacant at-large positions.
Katherine Smith and Grant Heitman have opted not to reapply at the conclusion of their two-year terms, which expire at the end of February.
“We have a meet the candidates night coming up and then people can email their votes to prcac.comment@gmail.com. We will forward the results to the county executive who will appoint the two new committee members,” said PRCAC chair Allison Calder. She said they had already received three applications but community members are still welcome to apply.
Potential applicants are encouraged to apply through the county’s boards and commission webpage at bit.ly/3pcZIIE and a copy of the application emailed to orcas.comment@gmail.com.
PRCAC’s candidates night will be held via Zoom on March 14 at 7 p.m. A link will be distributed through community email lists as well as the ePB.
