Never Lose the Days You’re In

Shed the hard times with every tear, and do not fight to hold them near

With each new day they’re less and less, let love hold you in her nest

and what will come and everything will fly away to dance and sing

New days unfold in fall and spring

Chapters thicken then get thin 

Never lose the days you’re in ...

Search out fragrance, quench your thirst, fill your cup until it burst

Gather everything lovely and dear, seek out warmth when winter is near

Embrace the night for just a brief, so rest gets full and there within
the darkened sky

Those tears repair

What the damage tries to hide

All that is within this sphere

To cherish love and banish fear

Is laid upon a table’s feast to nourish soul and teach the flesh

not once to leave us lonely here.
