Students from the Point Roberts Primary School and other performers played to packed house at the Gulf Road Community Center during the school's annual winter program on Wednesday, December 14.

Local primary students and some returning alumni will perform a play about a tricky fox and share some original music written with Craig Jacks for their annual winter concert at the community center, which will be topped off by a visit from Santa.

High winds churned up the waters surrounding Point Roberts on Thanksgiving Day, causing sizable waves to crash into Maple Beach.

Blaine school district voters will be asked to approve two tax measures on the special February 14 school election. In a quick 35-second vote, school board directors unanimously approved adding a $3 million capital projects bond initiative alongside the regular maintenance and operations (M&O) levy. The action took place at the board’s regular meeting November 28.
